Job Opportunities

If possible we try to avoid advertising positions when they become available. When a position opens up, we first go  CV’s on file and look for potential candidates through “professional networking”, such as TAFE, friends and social networking.

Our advice is to submit your CV to us. We are usually more impressed when this is handed in by hand. We don’t give a lot of “weight” to qualifications or necessarily professional experience. Attitude, personality, presentation, common sense and familiarising yourself with our company will bring you to our attention.

At this time no traineeships’ are available

Every year Masterlink takes on 6-8 students for Work Experience placements. These placements are a valuable resource for any student wishing to enter the workforce or progress on to tertiary education in the technical industries. Placements are generally for a period of 1 week, Monday to Friday. with specific hours being negotiable depending on transport and other factors.

Students applying for a Work Experience placement must make their intention to apply known to the Manager in person. If accepted, application must then be made through your schools vocational guidance councilor to ensure all requirements including insurance are covered.

On the first day of a placement. Students must attend a work place induction, which covers policy, procedures, and workplace health and safety. Please note that there are some clothing requirements to ensure personal safety. You will be provided with this information at the initial interview.

As your training involves transport to and from client premises. Written permission from a parent or guardian to travel in a vehicle under the supervision of a supervising technician must be provided. If permission is not granted, restricted training (workshop based), or rejection of your application may occur at the discretion of the manager.
